Job summary

Baptist Health in Fleming Island, FL is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support Registered Nurses in our fast-paced ED on a full‑time, evening shift. You will assist with daily patient care, maintain a safe environment, collect lab specimens, monitor intake and output, and document in the electronic medical record under RN supervision.

Education requirements include a high school diploma, BLS, and being licensed as an EMT or CNA; an AA/AS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required.
• Associate degree preferred (AA/AS).
• BLS Certification required.
• Licensed EMT or CNA required.

Responsibilities

Baptist Health is seeking to add an Emergency Department Technician to our

Emergency Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This is a full-time, evening shift opportunity.

Assists Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily healthcare needs. Responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake and output, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Works under the supervision of an RN to help ensure quality patient care and efficient Emergency Department operations.

Emergency Department Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.
• Maintaining a safe environment.
• Collecting lab specimens.
• Intake and Output monitoring.
• Electronic medical record documentation.
• Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
