Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Baptist Clay Emergency Department in Fleming Island, FL. This is a full-time, evening-shift position designed to support Registered Nurses and ensure safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced ED.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, BLS certification, and licensed EMT or CNA. An Associate degree is preferred; successful candidates will contribute to a high‑quality care environment at multiple Baptist Health facilities.

Baptist Health is seeking to add an Emergency Department Technician to our

Emergency Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, FL.

This is a full-time, evening shift opportunity.

Assists Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily healthcare needs. Responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake and output, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Works under the supervision of an RN to help ensure quality patient care and efficient Emergency Department operations.

Emergency Department Technician Job Responsibilities

• Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.


• Maintaining a safe environment.


• Collecting lab specimens.


• Intake and Output monitoring.


• Electronic medical record documentation.


• Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Education & Credential Requirements
