Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Downtown Nassau Crossing ED on a full-time evening shift. You will support Registered Nurses with patient care and daily clinical tasks in a busy ED environment.

The role involves collecting specimens, monitoring intake/output, maintaining safety, and documenting care in the EMR under RN supervision. A HS diploma and BLS are required, EMT or CNA licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; EMT/CNA preferred or licensed.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience assisting RNs in fast-paced ED is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs in the Emergency Department with patient care.
• Maintain a safe patient environment.
• Collect lab specimens for testing.
• Monitor intake and output.
• Document patient data in the electronic medical record.

Baptist Health is seeking to add an Emergency Department Technician to the

Emergency Department Downtown. This is a full-time evening shift opportunity.

Assists Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily healthcare needs. Responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake and output, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Works under the supervision of an RN to help ensure quality patient care and efficient Emergency Department operations.

Emergency Department Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.
• Maintaining a safe environment.
• Collecting lab specimens.
• Intake and Output monitoring.
• Electronic medical record documentation.
• Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
