Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Emergency Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This is a full-time, evening shift opportunity.

The ED Tech will assist RNs with patient care and daily healthcare needs, maintain a safe patient environment, collect lab specimens, monitor intake/output, and document in the EMR under RN supervision. Required are a High School diploma, BLS, and EMT or CNA license, with Associate’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate of Arts/Science preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT or CNA license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily needs.
• Maintain a safe patient environment and monitor for safety.
• Collect lab specimens and document in the EMR.
• Support activities of daily living and patient comfort under RN supervision.
• Maintain accurate intake and output records and assist with ED operations.

Emergency Department at Baptist Clay in Fleming Island, FL. This is a full-time, evening shift opportunity.

Assists Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department with patient care and daily healthcare needs. Responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, collecting lab specimens, monitoring intake and output, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Works under the supervision of an RN to help ensure quality patient care and efficient Emergency Department operations.

• Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living.
• Maintaining a safe environment.
• Intake and Output monitoring.
• Electronic medical record documentation.
• Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma Required
• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
