Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for the ED, with a 36-hour per week schedule on days (11a–11p). The role involves phlebotomy, EKGs, and aiding nurses and physicians in patient care in either inpatient or outpatient ED settings.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, <1 year clinical experience, and EMT-B certification (or equivalent hospital corps training). Sentara offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay above the base range.

• Clinical experience - <1 year required.
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR current students enrolled in an advanced clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy).

• Support ED team to ensure efficient patient flow.
