Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a part-time role. The position supports the ED with patient transport, clinical tasks, and basic procedures under supervision.

The incumbent will assist in ED/Orthopedic setups, perform lab draws, and help maintain sterile technique. Qualifications include a CNA/EMT license or medical assistant program, or nursing program rotations, with a CPI within 6 months.

Qualifications

• CNA/EMT/Medical Assistant program or nursing program with rotations required.
• 2+ years ED tech experience also considered in lieu of above.

Responsibilities

• Clean, stock, and ready the ED for patient care.
• Transport patients within the department and to hospital locations.
• Perform clinical tasks: EKGs, suture setup, wound care, labs (urine/serum).
• Assist with splints, immobilizers and orthopedic setups per orders.
• Draw labs as required and assist ED physicians and nurses.

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
