Job summary

UNC Lenoir Health Care’s Emergency Department in Kinston, NC is seeking a NA II to provide direct patient care in the ED under licensed nursing staff supervision. You will perform EKGs and phlebotomy as needed within your scope.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of NC Board of Nursing approved NA II course, and BLS certification. Night shifts, 36 hours per week, onsite with salary range listed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Two years of health care experience preferred.

LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

Certified by the State Board of Nursing as a NA II, and BLS certification.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS

Good interpersonal, communication, and observation skills are essential. Understanding of patient care needs according to developmental stages for various age groups.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens requiring the use of protective equipment; exposure to other infectious diseases. Exposure to chemicals utilized to clean and disinfect equipment.
