Job description

Summary

Provides patient care in the ED as delegated by the licensed nursing staff. Performs EKGs and phlebotomy as needed within the scope of the NA II.

Licensure / Registration / Certification

• Understanding of patient care needs according to developmental stages for various age groups.

Work Environment

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens requiring the use of protective equipment; exposure to other infectious diseases and chemicals used to clean and disinfect equipment.

Physical Requirements

Must work and stand throughout the shift and lift, pull, turn, and push patients daily.
