Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring Emergency Department Technicians to support physicians, NPs, and nurses in delivering urgent care. The technician performs procedures under supervision and participates in implementing care plans for emergency patients.

Applicants must have an HS diploma or equivalent, BLS cert within 90 days, and clinical experience. EMT-B certification or military hospital corps credentials are preferred paths, with on‑site training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Clinical experience required.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• EMT-B with state or national certification at hire OR.
• Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School/MMAC candidates OR current student enrolled in relevant clinical program.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, NPs, or nurses in implementing plans of care for emergency patients.
• Perform patient procedures and treatments under supervision.
• Support patient safety and de-escalation efforts as needed.

Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse.New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum education:1. EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR2. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR3.
