Martha Jefferson Hospital’s Emergency Department is hiring a Full Time Nights ED Technician for 7P-7A. The role supports physicians and nurses, performing procedures and treatments under supervision to deliver efficient emergency care.

Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse.De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.Certification/LicensureBLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum Education1. EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR2. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR3. Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester within the program.4. Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above.EducationHS Diploma or Equivalent GED (Required)ExperienceOne year prior healthcare experience (Preferred)We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly.
