Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician for the 3rd shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). The role assists physicians and nurses in delivering emergency care and requires EMT-B or equivalent certification, or active clinical enrollment, with on-site duties in the ED.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS within 90 days, and complete de-escalation training within 15 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; EMT-B or related clinical program certification preferred.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
