Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital is seeking an ED Tech for the Emergency Department. The role supports RN staff by performing vital signs, EKGs, wound care, suctioning, splinting and patient transport in a fast-paced ED.

Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac rhythms, operating monitors, assisting with patient mobility, and ensuring aseptic technique. Requires high school diploma and BLS certification, with duties oriented toward compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required; Instructor and Provisional variants may be required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs; inform nurse if abnormal.
• Perform 12-lead EKG and hand to ED physician.
• Perform bedside blood sugar testing; inform nurse if abnormal.
• Transports patients, supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Monitor patients and observe, document, and report findings.
• Assist with sterile technique and wound care; catheterization as needed.
• Operate and observe cardiac monitors and telesitter equipment.
• Maintain stocked patient care areas and respond to escalations.
