Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs; inform nurse if abnormal.
• Perform 12-lead EKG and relay findings to ED physician.
• Conduct bedside glucose testing and report abnormal results.
• Measure and apply extremity splints as directed.
• Instruct patients on safe ambulation with crutches; demonstrate return.
• Oral suctioning and superficial wound care.
• Operate and monitor cardiac monitors and room equipment.
• Transport patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
