Job summary

Valley View is seeking a PRN Emergency Department Tech to support shifts in our CO ED. You'll assist with patient care, vital signs, EKGs, IV starts, and labs under physicians and RNs supervision.

This role covers day/evening/weekends, with differential pay and a focus on rapid, compassionate patient care in a Level III trauma setting. Prior ED experience and BLS certification are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
• EMT-I or EMT-P preferred; EMT-Basic with IV Certification acceptable.
• ED Tech/ER experience preferred; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients within the hospital.
• Monitor vitals and place EKG leads for cardiac monitoring.
• Perform 12-lead EKG; assist with patient ambulation.
• Initiate IVs and collect lab samples.
• Assist with patient positioning during procedures and care.
• Document care provided and patient responses.
• Assist with cleaning and turnover of ED rooms; stock supplies.
