Job summary

Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, CO, seeks an Emergency Department Tech for PRN shifts. You will assist with patient transport and care under ED physicians and RNs, including vital signs, EKGs, IV starts, and sample collection, with room turnover and supply stocking responsibilities.

Requirements include high school diploma, current BLS, and EMT certification (preferred). Visa sponsorship is not available; generous benefits and PSLF loan forgiveness apply.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
• EMT-I (Intermediate) or EMT-P (Paramedic) strongly preferred.
• EMT-Basic with IV Certification acceptable but preferred not required.
• ED Tech or Emergency Room experience preferred.
• We are not able to sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients within the hospital.
• Perform patient care activities: vital signs, EKG placement, 12-lead EKG, ambulation assistance, IV starts, lab sample collection, patient positioning, documentation.
• Assist with cleaning and turnover of ED rooms.
• Stock supplies in rooms and carts.
