Danbury Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department assistant to support the ED team by preparing patients for exams, drawing blood, monitoring vitals, and aiding in throughput. The role requires current EMT or Medical Assistant certification, nursing student status, or at least one year of ED experience and CPR certification.

• Current EMT or Medical Assistant certification, or Nursing student, or 1 year ED experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Phlebotomy and EKG Training are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare treatment areas and maintain stock and supplies.
• Prepare patients for exam, position for comfort, apply monitors and supplies.
• Perform vital signs, I&Os, EKGs, phlebotomy, bladder scans, and glucose tests.
• Work with ED team across triage and care areas to ensure throughput.
• Document care interactions and communicate patient status with the team.
