Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant program with National Certification required at hire.
• EMT-B certification required at hire.
• CNA certification with 2+ years ED tech experience or nursing student (3rd/4th year).
• Demonstrate basic computer skills.
• Strong communication in English, both written and verbal.
• Team-oriented with flexibility for shifting workloads.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Department under supervision of physician, PA, or RN.
• Maintain patient flow and throughput in the ED.
• Assist in examinations, prepare labs, perform point-of-care tests, draw blood, and assist with radiology.
• Apply dressings, restraints, and assist in procedures under supervision.
• Transport patients to units and rooms; assist with education and training of staff and students.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities.
• Keep patient information confidential and follow Code of Conduct.
