Job summary

Saint Luke's in Kansas is seeking an ED Technician to support nursing staff in the emergency department. You will perform direct patient care tasks and help with rounds, safety, and communication within the care team.

Experience of six months or more as an ED Technician or EMT is preferred; candidates without experience may enroll in the SLHS nursing support training program as a condition of hire. Full-time position.

Qualifications

• Six months experience or greater as an ED Technician or EMT preferred.
• Applicants with no experience must complete the SLHS nursing support training program as a condition of hire.
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care such as bathing, hygiene, nutrition and hydration, and ambulation.
• Perform regular patient rounds in the emergency department.
• Maintain ED-specific competency and effectively communicate with team members.
