Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care - Georgetown is seeking a Nursing Assistant II (Emergency Department Technician) to join the ED team in Georgetown, KY. The role provides patient care under the supervision of an ED RN, supports department flow, and maintains clean work areas.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification, and BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Prior lab or customer service experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first-year nursing coursework with clinical validation.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Previous laboratory or customer service experience preferred.
• Data entry and computer experience or phlebotomy/POCT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts within the multidisciplinary ED team under the direction of the ED Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates effective communication and coordination of patient care and department flow.
• Maintains work area to ensure efficient operation and workflow.
• Collects, processes, transports and analyzes specimens per policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates proficiency in patient care according to hospital policies.
