The Emergency Department Technician II at the Medical University of South Carolina reports to the Nurse Manager and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role provides multi-skilled support to ensure a patient-centered approach and successful outcomes in a fast-paced ED.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of patient care experience or EMT certification, and completion of phlebotomy and EKG training within six months. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience in a health care environment or EMT certification.
• Must pass online course modules including phlebotomy and EKG training within six months.

Responsabilités

• Assist RN under supervision to support patient-centered care.
• Perform multi-skilled activities to aid in ED operations.
• Work irregular hours, rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
