Job summary

The ED Tech I – ER role at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital provides opportunities to work with advanced technology in a collaborative environment, under RN supervision, focusing on direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department.

Primary responsibilities include assisting RN, data collection, and contributing to continuous improvement, with a 0.9 FTE on a night shift schedule of 72 scheduled hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from a practical nursing school or an equivalent program.
• Completion of one of the listed programs with six months direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with care team to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.
• Assists RN by gathering data, observing patient condition, reporting changes, and documenting interventions.
• Aids in training other technicians and adheres to department policies and infection control standards.
• Performs general clerical tasks as needed and participates in ongoing professional development.

PCA/PCT program

Certified Nurse Assistant program
