Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support the ED and Observation Unit with direct patient care under RN supervision. The role emphasizes aseptic technique, phlebotomy, vital signs, and rapid response to changing patient conditions.

Responsibilities include assisting with orthopedic procedures, running point-of-care testing, documenting in the EMR, transporting patients and specimens, and aiding in triage and admissions as needed.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years' experience in direct patient care
• Competency in aseptic technique and infection control
• Experience with phlebotomy and laboratory specimens
• Ability to assist in ED and observation unit procedures

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN with patient care in ED and Observation Unit
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens per protocol
• Operate ECG equipment and monitor vital signs
• Prepare and transport specimens to lab
• Assist with orthopedic procedures and wound care
• Document vital signs and patient observations
• Triage assistance and patient transport
