Job summary

UnityPoint Health's Emergency Department is seeking a motivated Emergency Department Technician to support RNs and the clinical team in a fast-paced setting. You will assist with vitals, patient comfort, and basic care critical for efficient workflows and patient safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, preferably 1 year of clinical experience, and AHA BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Full-time positions offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus and three 12-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (preferred upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Obtain vitals and provide basic, immediate care to patients.
• Assist with personal care: bathing, bed making, grooming, and toileting; support safe patient handling.
