Job summary

Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to support patient care under supervision. The role includes assisting RNs and LPNs, collecting data for assessment, monitoring vital signs, and documenting care in the electronic medical record.

You may rotate between day, night, and weekend shifts up to 40 hours per week, and you will work to maintain patient safety, throughput, and quality care in a fast-paced ED.

Qualifications

• Assist in data collection for assessment and plan of care.
• Prioritize patient care based on needs identified during assessment.
• Communicate patient needs to other disciplines and support discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/LPN in data collection and assessment documentation.
• Monitor and re-assess patient vitals in triage/back as directed.
• Maintain professional interactions with patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in orientation and preceptorship for ED staff and students.
