Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide patient care and operational support in the ED. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and timely care.

The position requires a high school diploma, two years in acute care, and may require NREMT or NH LNA licensure with BLS. Phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG experience are preferred, with MOAB training within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in acute hospital, ambulance, or ambulatory care preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; 12-lead EKG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities under RN supervision, including ADLs.
• Obtain vital signs and perform EKGs as needed.
• Utilize universal precautions and collect specimens for testing.
• Perform point-of-care testing and record results in the medical record.
