Job summary

White Oak Medical Center in Maryland seeks an experienced Emergency Department Technician to support the ED team and uphold compassionate, patient-centered care under RN supervision. The role emphasizes safety, report continuity, and collaboration across departments.

Expect a 36-hour week with day shifts (7:00 am–7:00 pm), every other weekend and holiday rotations, shift differential, and unit-based incentives for ED roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of the CNA program or first year of nursing school with CNA exam.
• Must be certified as a Maryland CNA or be an EMT and on the state registry.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Model positive customer service and uphold mission values.
• Follow care plan under RN supervision.
• Work with RN to promote cohesive, patient-centered care.
• Participate in education programs and departmental activities.
• Identify and use resources safely; report faulty equipment.
• Attend training and maintain clinical, communication, and computer skills.
