Job summary

Dignity Health - Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking an ED Tech to provide essential support in the fast-paced Emergency Department. You will assist with admissions and discharges, monitor vital signs, and support nurses and physicians during critical moments.

You must have at least one year of direct ED patient care, CPR/AHA BLS, and EMT certification (CA) or NREMT-B. Strong communication, calm demeanor, and ability to document observations accurately are required.

Qualifications

• One year of direct patient care in an emergency department, ambulance, fire or emergent pre-hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support - CPR through American Heart Association.
• Emergency Medical Technician: CA, or
• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Basic

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
• Take and document vital signs and basic medical procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized ED environment and document observations for nursing/physician teams.
• Communicate using the AIDET framework and follow the chain of command when needed.
