Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO is seeking a staff RN for the Emergency Department to triage, assess and provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with acute, chronic and critical conditions. You will communicate with ED providers, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and help supervise students as part of the department’s patient-care team.

The role requires Missouri RN licensure, BSN preferred, and BLS; ACLS/TNCC/PALS certifications are expected or to be obtained

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Missouri or be eligible to practice as a graduate nurse in the State of Missouri.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 1 year experience working in the Emergency Room or comparable experience preferred.
• This individual should be knowledgeable regarding growth and development and assessing the physical and psychological needs of patients in the following stages of life: neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS required.
• Current AHA or Red Cross ACLS or obtain within 6 months.
• Current TNCC or obtained within 12 months.
• Current PALS or obtained within 6 months.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.

• Directs and/or provides nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Triages patients to determine priority of care based on needs.
• Communicates with ED providers about changes in patient status, symptoms and results.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team, committees, education and supervision of staff/students.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Supports the Medical Center's Mission/Vision/Philosophy.
• Performs other essential duties as assigned.
