Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Emergency Department in Grand Junction, Colorado. This full-time role includes a 12-week training program with a mix of didactic learning and clinical preceptorship, and compensation during training.

Qualifications

• ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain BSN within four years of hire.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• Ability and willingness to work all shifts – days, mids, and/or nights – dependent on departmental need.
• Ability and willingness to work under stressful conditions with a high volume of patients.
• Ability and willingness to learn in classroom and online settings as well as at the bedside in the clinical setting.
• Ability and willingness to commit to the 12‑week training period uninterrupted.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the ED, assess needs, and implement care plans.
• Coordinate with health team to evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Participate in a 12‑week training program with preceptorship in the ED unit.
