Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an ED Nurse for a part-time schedule. The role offers 1 shift per week and 1 weekend per month, with compensation based on experience.

Responsibilities include triage, orderly care areas, medication administration, discharge planning, and reporting changes to the Medical Provider. Candidate must hold RN license, BSN or equivalent, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS/ENPC/TNCC within 6 months of hire are required.

Qualifications

• RN license required to practice as an ED nurse.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS/ENPC/TNCC certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assures patient care areas, triage and waiting room are well stocked, and clean and equipment and supplies are available.
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Discharge patients utilizing individualized discharge plans.
• Reporting concerns or changes in the patient’s condition to the Medical Provider.
• Gives report to the receiving nurse at shift change or with transfer or admission per policy.
• Document patient information completely and per policy.
• Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and per policy.
