Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Washington State is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for our fast-paced ED. You will provide direct nursing care, advocate for patients, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic environment.

Required credentials include an RN license (WA), a nursing program diploma/ADN, and BLS/ACLS; PALS/TNCC as required. Two years ER experience strongly preferred, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or ADN required).
• Minimum of two years current RN ER nursing experience.
• Current WA State Registered Nurse License; BLS required; ACLS required; PALS/TNCC as per timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
• Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
• Coordinates the patient and family education process.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care with patient/family involvement.
• Works with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Communicates changes in patient condition to charge nurse/supervisor/physician.
• Documents and communicates safety issues, equipment problems, and quality concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
