Job summary

PeaceHealth in Washington is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a Full-Time, 0.90 FTE, variable shift position. You will provide rapid assessment, evidence-based interventions, and compassionate care for patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions, working with a collaborative team.

Requires RN license, BLS at hire, 1 year ED experience or orientation, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license.
• BLS certification at hire.
• Minimum of one year ED experience or orientation with independency.
• Experience managing cardiac, complex medical-surgical, pediatric and multi-trauma patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in a dynamic emergency setting.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team to ensure outcomes.
• Delegate and direct patient care according to education, licensure and competencies.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Respond to rapidly changing patient conditions and priorities.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety and department initiatives.
• Maintain professional competency through continuing education and development.
