Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon focuses on providing comprehensive emergency nursing care in a collaborative environment. The RN will assess, plan, direct, provide and evaluate nursing care for patients and coordinate with other health care disciplines.

Relocation assistance is available for this position. Candidates should have at least 9 months of RN experience, ED exposure, and current Oregon RN licensure along with BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials or completion timelines, plus NIH Stroke Scale

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Oregon RN license required.
• PALS within 6 months of hire or pass within 6 months; BLS/ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess multi-system patient status and plan discharge needs; identify deviations from normal in lab results.
• Develop individualized nursing plan of care and coordinate with hospital departments and community agencies; document care plans.
• Initiate measures per protocol and administer medications; document in EMR and respond to emergencies.
• Evaluate patient response and participate in unit quality assurance activities.
