Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department in Jacksonville on a PRN night shift. This role involves direct patient care across medical and surgical cases, collaboration with physicians and departments, and active patient advocacy. An RN license and BLS are required, with ACLS and CEN/TNCC certifications preferred.

The position is hospital-based, offering flexible PRN night scheduling and opportunities for mentorship within a busy, high-acuity ED setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
• Emergency Department Experience Preferred
• Hospital Experience
• Telemetry Experience
• AS/BSN degrees and RN license required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• CEN/TNCC/Stroke scales preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with medical or surgical conditions
• Uphold Baptist Health mission and values
• Educate patients and families on disease process and plan of care
• Coordinate care with physicians and hospital departments
• Act as patient advocate and liaison for families
• Participate in unit meetings and activities

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Licensed Registered Nurse

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred

Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) Preferred

NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred

Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred
