Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license is required.

• NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
• 2 years of ER experience required.

The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. **About the Unit:**The Emergency Department (ED) has 41 beds divided between two pods with 37 private rooms. A split-flow area is located near main triage and provides care to lower acuity patients. Split flow varies from 5-8 patients and is run by 1-2 nurses and a mid-level provider. This fast-paced ED treats an average of 160+ patients per day. ED staff encounter a wide variety of patients including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric patients.
