Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This part-time position covers 24 hours per week, with day shifts from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and every fourth weekend.

The RN will provide direct comprehensive nursing care, collaborate with the on‑shift team, and support patients and families in a fast‑paced ED with STEMI and stroke center designations.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license or graduation from approved nursing program
• BLS for healthcare provider required
• ACLS required within 12 months of hire
• PALS required within 12 months of hire
• NIHSS required within 10 weeks of hire

Job Duties

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit

The Emergency Department (ED) has 41 beds divided between two pods with 37 private rooms. A split-flow area is located near main triage and provides care to lower acuity patients. Split flow varies from 5-8 patients and is run by 1-2 nurses and a mid-level provider. This fast-paced ED treats an average of 160+ patients per day. ED staff encounter a wide variety of patients including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric patients. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as both a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center.New Graduate RNs are welcome.

Qualifications
