Job summary

UPMC Chautauqua is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department. The role requires weekend and holiday availability with flexible scheduling in a fast-paced ED that cares for all ages.

The unit features 28 beds and a dedicated nursing staff focused on teamwork and patient-centered care. Professional development is supported with tuition reimbursement and nursing career ladders, plus paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state or compact state.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• ACLS, BLS/CPR, PALS and related certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with patients, families and coworkers.
• Provide patient and family teaching tailored to the episode of care and transition to home or other care levels.
• Apply the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to plan patient care and communicate with the team.
• Participate in quality improvement and governance to improve patient care and practice environment.
• Identify opportunities for safety, quality, and patient satisfaction improvements in rounds and daily practice.
