Job summary

Atrium Health Kannapolis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Emergency Department on a part-time weekend schedule. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED environment along with collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program completion, an active RN license, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire. Prior ED/critical care experience is preferred to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 6 months RN experience (not suitable for new grads)
• Current RN license in the state of practice
• BLS for Healthcare Providers by AHA
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• 1 year of Critical Care (ED/ICU) experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care aligned with standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical decision making to improve patient outcomes.
