Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a motivated RN for the Emergency Department. The role supports a 14-bed ED with a 5:1 patient ratio, delivering high-quality care during 7p-7a night shifts and 3x12s schedules in a busy environment.

New grads receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus; experienced night RNs with a 2-year commitment may qualify for $20,000. Licensure, education and certifications are outlined in the requirements.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate's degree required, BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
