Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring an RN for the Emergency Department. Nights 7p-7a in a high-volume unit with 40+ beds and 100k annual visits. New grads welcome to apply; sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified applicants.

The RN will provide direct nursing care, ensure patient safety, and participate in an orientation program focused on ED skills and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• RN license is required; BLS within 90 days; ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year.
• New graduates welcome to apply for the transition program.
• BSN or MSN preferred for some ED roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care in a high-volume emergency department.
• Coordinate care across units with a focus on patient safety and outcomes.
• Assist with rapid assessment, triage, and critical interventions in ED.
