Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an RN for the Emergency Department. The full-time night shift (7p–7a) offers an up to $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants and a base pay starting around $36.00/hour for new graduates with less than 1 year of experience.

Join a high-volume ED with over 40 beds and more than 100,000 patient visits annually. A 20-week Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency program supports orientation and skill-building for practice in emergency care.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and care plans.
• Care for patients across all acuity levels in a high-volume ED.
