Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest in Hillsboro, OR seeks an RN with emergency department experience to join the Westside Medical Center Emergency Team. Under general supervision, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, coordinating with multidisciplinary colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, developing patient care plans, implementing physician orders, documenting in the EMR, and participating in quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• One (1) year of current ED experience or completion of Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship in the ED.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Oregon RN license; relevant certifications (e.g., ACLS, BLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, provide and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Develop individual nursing plans of care and coordinate discharge planning.
• Initiate measures per protocol and document in the EMR; administer medications.
• Evaluate patient responses and participate in quality assurance activities.
