Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Staff Nurse II to care for a group of complex patients with initial assessment and ongoing monitoring. The role includes clinical leadership, precepting new employees, and coordinating nursing care to meet physical, psychological, and sociocultural needs.

The position requires Ohio RN licensure, successful orientation completion, and ongoing CE hours including Fire Safety and BLS/CPR recertification, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period; completes Orientation Checklist.
• Maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually including Fire Safety and BLS/CPR Recertification.
• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds.
• Maintains BLS/CPR recertification.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a group of complex patients with initial assessment and ongoing monitoring.
• Coordinate nursing care, demonstrate leadership, and precept new employees as assigned.
• Demonstrate competency with essential patient-care equipment and CHP-level clinical standards.
• Report to Nurse Manager or Administrative Supervisor; supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
