Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Virginia. You will coordinate patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and advocate for patients and families, aligning with nursing standards and hospital initiatives.

You will assess pain, document care, teach patients about conditions and treatment plans, and support discharge planning with education on healthy lifestyle choices.

Qualifications

• RN license required within employment start date.
• Registered Nurse diploma or equivalent required.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS or equivalent certifications required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required.
• PALS certification required within 60–90 days as specified.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in ED.
• Assess pain, perform procedures, document care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and support family education.
• Teach patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects and follow-ups.
• Promote healthy lifestyle changes and future self-management.
