Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health’s Emergency Department seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced setting. The ED is a large, Level III trauma center with a helicopter helipad and a focus on interdisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and care plan implementation, with emphasis on patient safety and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• WA RN license required at hire; ED residency if new to ED/Critical Care.
• BLS/CPR required at hire; ACLS within 60 days; PALS within 12 months.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 months; Trauma Nurse Core Course within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced ED.
• Administer and document medications per orders and policy.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, ED techs, social workers for patient care.
• Document patient status and physician orders accurately.
