Job summary

UTMB Health in League City, Texas seeks an Advanced Beginner Clinician RN to deliver patient care in a fast-paced setting, following the Texas Nurse Practice Act and UTMB policies. You will work with a multidisciplinary team and seek resources as needed to support safe, quality care.

Requirements include a current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS/ENPC, and TNCC within six months of hire. Six months of clinical RN experience or successful completion of probationary NC I is expected.

Qualifications

• RN license currently in good standing and valid to practice in Texas.
• Six months of clinical RN experience and/or successful completion of probationary NC I period.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications required.
• Experienced ED nurses must be available upon hire; non-experienced must obtain within 6 months.
• TNCC certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with evidence-based practice.
• Provide patient/family education using Teach-Back methods.
• Coordinate care with the inter-professional team and ensure safe handoffs.
• Demonstrate leadership, ethics, and advocacy within the unit.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and ongoing education.
