Job summary

UTMB Health in League City seeks an Registered Nurse II (RN) for the Emergency Department, night shift (3p-3a). The role requires six months of RN experience or completion of probationary NC I, and current Texas RN license with BLS.

ACLS and PALS/ENPC are required; TNCC must be obtained within 6 months from date of hire if not already held. The nurse provides patient care per Texas Nurse Practice Act and collaborates with the care team to support safety and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license and BLS required.
• ACLS and PALS/ENPC required.
• TNCC must be obtained within 6 months from hire if not already held.
• Experienced ED nurses must join the department on hire or obtain experience post hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily patient care.
• Administer medications and follow physician orders with safety and accuracy.
• Provide patient/family teaching and coordinate care with the inter-professional team.
• Support unit operations, documentation, and adherence to policies and standards.
