Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a registered nurse to join our inpatient care teams. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within the Christ Hospital Professional Practice Model, delivering culturally sensitive care.

Candidates must hold an Ohio RN license, complete BLS before patient contact, and achieve ACLS within 6 months for relevant units. New hires need BSN within five years of hire; AD and Diploma nurses welcome.

Qualifications

• Ohio RN license is required.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS required within 6 months for step-down and ICU areas.
• BSN within 5 years of hire for all nurses hired after Jan 2010.
• AD and Diploma prepared nurses are eligible for hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct holistic patient assessments using the Christ Hospital model.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the care plan with SBAR communication.
• Perform nursing actions per orders with critical thinking and accountability.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain a safe environment.
• Document nursing care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Lead and mentor peers; participate in professional development.
