PeaceHealth in Washington is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a Full-Time, 0.90 FTE, variable shift position. You will provide rapid assessment, evidence-based interventions, and compassionate care for patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions, working with a collaborative team.

Requires RN license, BLS at hire, 1 year ED experience or orientation, and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license.
• BLS certification at hire.
• Minimum of one year ED experience or orientation with independency.
• Experience managing cardiac, complex medical-surgical, pediatric and multi-trauma patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in a dynamic emergency setting.

PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in a Full-Time, 0.90 FTE, Variable Shift position. Salary Range: $45.78 - $82.98 per hour

This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. Multiple openings may be available.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
• Delegate and direct patient care activities in accordance with team members' education, licensure, and demonstrated competencies.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly within the electronic health record.
• Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and priorities.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and department initiatives.
• Maintain professional competency through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Department experience or current orientation within an Emergency Department and ability to practice independently.
• Demonstrated experience managing:
• Cardiac patients
• Complex medical-surgical patients
• Pediatric patients
• Multiple trauma patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Emergency Department Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within 6 months
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months
