Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Services to provide compassionate, high‑quality care across all age groups in a fast-paced ED. The ED emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, continuous learning, and 24/7 supervisory support.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, and are prepared to complete BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within specified timelines, and pursue CEN within three years.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Function as an independent practitioner providing care to patients of all ages including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
• Provides primary nursing care to all patients assigned, functioning within a team, throughout the length of stay in the department.
• Demonstrates accountability and professionalism and notifies family of patient progress as appropriate.
• Maintain professional expertise, knowledge of protocols and continuing education (CPR recertification, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS).
• Completes annual ESI triage modules and participates in bedside change of shift report.
